Jayhawk Announces End of Life for Older Version JBT
If you are a District Court still using the old version of Jayhawk Budget Tracking (JBT), now is the time to consider an upgrade to JBT 2.0. The original JBT version is written in VB6, which is an older programming language that is no longer supported by Microsoft. This means that if Microsoft rolls out an update to Windows that causes it to break, there will be no recourse for Jayhawk to be able to get the program running again. The original version is currently in an extended support phase where no updates are being rolled out, and will reach end of life on December 31, 2017. At that time, it will no longer be supported by Jayhawk at all. Jayhawk would recommend that all customers on the original version consider upgrading to the new version before December 31, 2017. The new version promises the same ease of use as the original version, but has additional features such as linking scanned documents to a disbursement, and the ability to include multiple disbursement to same payee on one voucher.
