New Software Coming Soon!
Last month, Jayhawk Software, the software division of Advantage Computer Enterprises, Inc. shared a “Sneak Peek” for our customers into our NEWEST software application. The new application is currently being created and will include enhancements suggested from our existing customers and the wealth of knowledge from over 33 years of experience in utility billing software and over 10 years with court and accounting. Steve Prasko, Vice President, pointed out, “Our team of billing, court, accounting and programming experts, allows our software to be designed with time saving and powerful features to provide customers the features they need, including billing (more than just utility), court management, extensive history, online and electronic payment options, with easy, accurate processes and flexible reports to meet the needs of clerks, maintenance staff, accountants, auditors, judges, government requirements and more.”
Some of the newest functions in the billing module will include a simpler, more streamlined billing process for the smallest water, trash, or other utility districts/towns and also allow addition of more robust options for larger municipalities and billing districts or associations. It will be able to handle billing for a single service (such as water or trash) or multiple services (including water, sewer, trash, electric, gas utilities) and other items (meters, pet licenses, airport fees, pool passes, cemetery lots, etc.). Other planned features beyond the core billing and payment transactions include more simplified incorporation of miscellaneous credits, adjustments, payment receipts and customer-read functions; many electronic payment options (bank auto-pay, credit cards and online web pay), maintenance tracking and service orders, customer account details and unlimited history for contacts, properties, meters, transactions and more.
The new application will share common information with the court module, as well as other modules when possible so that you can open one application to see all modules in one dashboard. Jayhawk will likely release the billing module first and add others thereafter. Our customers should look forward to an entirely new look and feel with streamlined processes all the way around.
The new application is also being developed with the latest programming tools (including new versions of SQL database and VB.NET)to ensure compatibility with the newest Windows versions that are yet to be released to the public. They are also implementing the widely used Crystal Reports designer to provide improved reporting and even more reports and customization options. The new software can be purchased as a complete package or by individual modules and options needed so it is affordable and proficient for small to large clients.
